IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization Appoints Director of Conformity Assessment
Piscataway, NJ, 10 December 2008 — The IEEE Industry Standards
and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO) announced today it has
appointed Rudi Schubert as director, conformity assessment. A primary
focus for this newly created position will be the near-term development
and launch of conformity assessment programs to support industry
organizations, consortia, product manufacturers and conformity
assessment professionals engaged in demonstrating product conformity to
IEEE Standards.
Mr. Schubert brings 20 years of industry experience and leadership in
product testing and analysis, standards development, and program
management working with hundreds of corporations in the
telecommunications industry. He will be working with product
manufacturers supporting standards developed by the IEEE Standards
Association, as well as independent testing organizations and test
equipment manufacturers to enhance the value and adoption of IEEE
standards in the global marketplace.
