The IEEE Conformity Assessment Program is a participant-driven program with added flexibility to create innovative programs meeting industry needs. The provided support can be of both technical and logistical nature, thereby allowing interested industry groups to focus on the development of technology-specific testing and conformance programs.
Examples of ICAP Support Offerings include: 

• Support to Working Groups implementing “testable” language and conformity assessment best practices to develop standards that assure readiness for follow-on product evaluation activities
• Operational management of conformity and certification programs for industry technical groups and consortia
• Partnering with independent test organizations to support flawless execution of the required conformity services for a given Standard
• Technical and logistical support to industry groups executing interoperability demonstrations of specific technologies related to IEEE standards such as:
  • Testing round robins or private interoperability events requiring a neutral party coordinator or host to assure confidentiality of participant information
  • Public interoperability demonstrations such as those held at trade shows and industry events
• Product Registry that provides product manufacturers an opportunity to promote their product’s conformity to IEEE Standards
• Laboratory Registry that provides test laboratories an opportunity to promote their services associated with IEEE Standards
• ICAP Website serving as a portal for individuals and industry groups involved with conformance and interoperability programs associated with IEEE Standards
• Workshops and seminars associated with industry conformity programs and processes, as well as more technical workshops associated with conformance to select IEEE Standards. Content and offerings would be customized to meet user needs
