Standards conformance activities relative to IEEE standards and related criteria take place across nearly all the technology areas covered by IEEE, but in a wide variety of approaches that may be technology or market dependent. A number of independent industry organizations offer a variety of conformance and product certification services that support implementation of IEEE standards.
