IEEE 1825(TM) Aims to Make Lithium-Ion Digital Camera and Camcorder Batteries more Robust and Reliable
As the IEEE
is launching development of a new standard to meet enhanced performance
requirements for digital camera and camcorder batteries, ISTO and the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA)
have partnered together to explore conformance and interoperability
activities in support of the Livium(TM) family of standards.
This marks the beginning of a joint
initiative between ISTO and IEEE-SA, in which they have combined
efforts to support and enhance the implementation of IEEE Standards.
ISTO has the unique ability to support the implementation of IEEE
Standards in the marketplace through a wide range of activities,
including marketing and communications support, facilitation of
conformance and interoperability activities, ecosystem and community
development, as well as a host of other program management activities.
Together, ISTO and IEEE-SA provide a full suite of support to
